Character Modeling: Character Modeling Week 2

Character biography for previous character design:

Arianne lives in the world and times of Greek mythology. The meaning of her Greek name is “very holy one.” She takes up the job of being Athena’s apprentice, and earns her wings through loyalty to Athena. Athena has always taught her the way of the weapon and told her repeatedly not to practice magic. Magic is often abused in their world and to Athena is against her code of chivalry. In other words, magic is considered cheating to use in battle. Arianne is an easily influenced teen and is exposed to a lot of bad things in their world, and one day defies Athena and is taught forbidden magic in desperate need to save a loved one. Athena bans her from the heavens and takes her wings the day she finds out that Arianne had practiced magic. Athena already considers her a threat to the Gods above with all of the knowledge Athena had passed onto her, so Athena strips her of her powers until she is as mortal as a human being. The God of the Underworld, Hades, uses this chance to pick up Arianne as his own apprentice and takes advantage of her knowledge for the dark side. He takes her under his wing, teaches her the evil arts of magic, and teaches her to hate the Gods from above, Athena more than others. He grants her powers of an immortal while basically owning her soul at a price. If he is betrayed, he makes it clear to Arianne that he will take her life by the simple snap of a finger. Arianne eventually earns wings and her own magic staff after learning to be a powerful and loyal apprentice to Hades.

Arianne is born with blonde hair and blue eyes, which are common features for the Gods above. She originally has white flawless wings, a white toga, a sword and shield when taken under the wing of Athena. When she becomes mortal, her eyes turn brown. When she is apprenticed under Hades, her eyes become red, her raunchy wings black, and her toga stained red with blood. She differs greatly from the Gods above with such evil features, which makes her a very unique character. Her magic staff has a red sphere at the end that glows brightly when powered up with magic. The sphere also has two rusted silver wings on each side. The entire staff is a rusted silver as well and much so that the staff almost appears to be black. She is quite short and petite for her size, and wears brown-strapped sandals that wrap all the way up her calf.
